Too much football? Thursday begins a streak of 2 months with at least one college football or NFL game every day

The most wonderful time of the football year is here. And it’s longer than ever in 2026.

Starting Thursday, there is at least one top-level college football or NFL game on every day through Nov. 30. The 61-day streak begins at 8 p.m. ET when Western Kentucky plays at New Mexico State and ends on Monday, Nov. 30 when the Carolina Panthers visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Streaks spanning seven weeks or so are not uncommon this type of year given the television deals that conferences like Conference USA, the MAC and the Sun Belt have struck with their television partners in recent years. Conference USA’s midweek slate begins in Week 6 as Southern Miss faces Troy on Tuesday, Oct. 6 and the league has two games on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

With MACtion beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 3, there is a college football game on every day of the week from Tuesday through Saturday starting the first full week of October.

But the steak is longer this year because of the NFL’s ever-expanding mid-week schedule. In recent years, the consecutive games run has ended the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. The MAC has traditionally played a game or two the Tuesday before the holiday, but hasn’t played the night before the holiday.

Enter the NFL.

Netflix is broadcasting the Green Bay Packers’ Week 12 visit to the Los Angeles Rams on Nov. 25. With the first NFL game the day before Thanksgiving, the league is extending its domination of the holiday week to a fourth day counting Sunday, Nov. 29.

Overall, the NFL will play games on six different days in 2026 thanks to the Wednesday game, a game on Black Friday and three games on Christmas Day along with the league’s traditional late-season expansion into Saturdays.

If you’re a football junkie, you’re probably not complaining about that creep. There’s a football game to watch every night for the next two months. Enjoy it. We’re definitely testing the theory that there can never be enough football.
