Tom Bischof makes subtle social media nod on his midfield aspirations

Social Media has become a place for many things. While Instagram was initially created for individuals to share photos online with friends, fast forward to today, and the platform has become something bigger than anyone could have imagined. In that space, celebrities share their own content, and often times engage with commentaries for the world to see.

Tom Bischof recently checked in with some interesting commentary as the Bayern Munich midfielder made a public like on a post of Lothar Matthäus’ comment: ‘The competition for places in Bayern’s midfield is more exciting than the title race.’

While the comment from the German legend, doesn’t take anything away from any of Bayern’s players, it can be seen as a bit of a nod to former Hoffenheim talent, Tom Bischof. Bischof, as many are predicting, is believed to play a much larger role for Bayern this season, and perhaps even overtake Aleksander Pavlović in the pecking order in Munich.

While Bischof’s like on the post is harmless, it shows he is accepting the challenge boldly, for all to see. The ‘like’ shows confidence, without being arrogant, and there is clearly a friendly rivalry between Bayern’s midfield. A little competition never hurt, and for Bayern, it is not a bad problem to have.
