Tinubu appoints Ade-John Senior Special Assistant on Transportation

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Prince Adetokunbo Ademola Ade-John as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Transportation and Mobility.

The appointment took effect on August 27, 2026, according to a statement announcing the development.

Ade-John’s appointment is subject to the terms and conditions of service stipulated under the Certain Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) (Amendment) Act, 2008.

In his new role, Ade-John is expected to support the president in improving coordination and ensuring the effective implementation of policies across major transportation institutions.

The new presidential aide previously served as Special Assistant to the Minister of Tourism.

He is also described as a grassroots politician and APC Apex Youth Leader across the globe.

President Tinubu charged Ade-John to draw on his experience to contribute to the advancement of the Federal Government’s transportation and mobility agenda.
