Tigers-Rangers on 'Star-Spangled Sunday': What channel, time?

The Tigers are back on national television and streaming on Sunday, July 5.

That means Sunday afternoon’s series finale between the Tigers and Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, will not be broadcast on Detroit SportsNet.

NBC platforms will broadcast all 15 Major League Baseball games Sunday as part of their holiday presentation, which the network is calling “Star-Spangled Sunday”. This marks the first time a single media company has broadcast all 15 MLB games in a single day.

Dave Raymond, the television play-by-play announcer, will do play-by-play for the Tigers-Rangers game, while Tigers TV analyst Dan Petry will be doing the color commentary. Rangers TV personality Laura Stickells will provide in-game reporting. (Tigers TV man Jason Benetti will be away doing “Sunday Night Baseball” for NBC, for the Padres-Dodgers game in Los Angeles.)

The Tigers-Rangers game will be among several happening during that mid-afternoon broadcast window, and fans with Peacock will be able to watch up to four live games at the same time with MLB Multiview.

This marks the Tigers’ ninth time on national television and/or streaming this season, and their first appearance in a month-and-a-half. The Tigers are 4-4 on national platforms in 2026.

The Tigers and Rangers have split the first two games of the series in Arlington, with the Tigers taking the second game, 3-0, on Saturday.
