Three Section V boys soccer teams ranked No. 1 in first NYS rankings

With a new season comes the return of the weekly New York state boys soccer rankings.

The first list of the season includes 10 teams from Section V, with three teams pacing their respective classification.

Churchville-Chili currently reigns in Class AA, fresh off a Section V title and an appearance in the state semifinals. The Saints, perfect through four matches, have scored 14 goals already this season. Their best showing so far though was a 1-0 shutout win over Class AAA contender Fairport on Sept. 3.

East Rochester (Class C) and defending state champion Fillmore (Class D) also open the season as No. 1s.
