Thiago Pitarch suffers knee injury, out around two months

Real Madrid midfielder Thiago Pitarch suffered a knee injury during his very first training session after rejoining the squad and will be out around two months. The injury affected ligaments on his left knee.

This injury complicates Real Madrid’s decision about his future. The coaching staff was going to evaluate his performances during the upcoming weeks and then decide whether or not the midfielder could benefit from spending the 2026-2027 in another club. However, Madrid will now have to make that decision before Pitarch can actually recover from his knee injury, which could also decrease interest from other clubs.

Either way, it looks like Pitarch could be playing elsewhere this upcoming season, given that he still needs significant playing time to develop and improve his game.
