These European Leagues with transfer windows still open offer escape route for Newcastle United players
The Premier League window closed after a very busy summer, so many Newcastle United players leaving and new faces arriving.
In total there were 25 transfers arranged this summer, with eight arriving and seventeen leaving (full listThese European Leagues with transfer windows).
When the English transfer window closed at 11pm on Tuesday 1 September 2026, it meant no more incoming deals for Premier League clubs and those in the EFL.
By close of business on Tuesday, a number of Newcastle United players still remained at St James’ Park who had been rumoured to leave.
It is not all over yet though.

Wednesday 9 September – Poland
Thursday 10 September – Azerbaijan
Sunday 13 September – Slovakia
Tuesday 15 September – Greece
Wednesday 16 September – Israel
Friday 18 September – Serbia
