‘The Rookie’ Season 9 Confirms a Major Return for Lucy Chen

Not many stars have seen as strong an uptick in their popularity in the last few years as Nathan Fillion, who is a frequent collaborator with James Gunn, the new co-CEO of DC Studios. Fillion and Gunn have been working together since long before Gunn took the role at DC, though, as their collaborations date back to the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, which was released in theaters in 2014. In Gunn’s new DCU, Fillion has settled into the role of Guy Gardner, one of the Green Lanterns who is tasked with protecting Earth. After debuting in the role in Superman (2025), he reprised the role in Peacemaker and Lanterns, and he’s even set to return next year in the first DCU crossover event film, Man of Tomorrow.
