The Reds vs. Guardians game was rained out. What you need to know
The Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Guardians scheduled Monday, July 27, game was rained out and will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Tuesday, July 28.
The Reds announced at 7:47 p.m., before the first pitch, that the game would be postponed and rescheduled as part of a split doubleheader, with game times scheduled for 1:40 p.m. and 7:10 p.m.
Per the Reds, fans holding tickets for the July 27 game may present their same ticket for the make-up game at 1:40 p.m., with no exchange necessary.
The 3-2-1 Tuesday promotions will be offered at both games on July 28.
Cincinnati is scheduled to start Monday’s planned pitcher, Chase Burns, in the 1:40 p.m. game. The Reds will not use a scheduled pitcher for the 7:10 p.m. start. Instead, the team will use an opener.
