With the Dallas Wings knocked out of playoff contention, Paige Bueckers’ debut WNBA season came to an early end, but her impact on the league is just getting started.

As well as trading buckets in the WNBA, she and Angel Reese forged a tight bond playing alongside each other for Team USA. Dubbed “PaiGel” by fans, the pair lit up the international stage with their chemistry, shared trash talk, and joint goal celebrations.

Paige Bueckers was very honest and open when talking about Angel Reese to TMZ. Shutting down any rivalry, Bueckers praised Reese’s toughness under the spotlight, pointing out that while carrying the heavy weight of superstardom isn’t easy, Reese handles it with real grace.

“Yeah, I’m really happy for her. Me and Angel are close friends, great competitors, people who just want the best for each other. We stayed in contact, just wishing her the best, just talking to her, talking basketball, talking hoops, so to see her drive on the biggest stage, she deserves it, she works for it. I’m really happy for her. The crown that she wears is heavy, but she wears it well, and she wears it with pride.

“Just to see how she handles everything with grace and just be unapologetically herself, I admire that. And so it’s really great to see her hope in.”
