Texas at Tennessee: How to watch, date, time, TV channel

It’s burnt orange vs. Tennessee orange and UT vs. UT in a matchup that’s nearly 60 years in the making.

Top-ranked Texas (3-0) and No. 14 Tennessee (3-0) will play Saturday in Knoxville for the first time since the 1969 Cotton Bowl won 36-13 by the Longhorns. This will be their first clash as SEC members and includes some Manning family intrigue as UT quarterback Arch will face his famous uncle Peyton’s alma mater.

Peyton’s take on the matchup? “I love my university… but nothing’s more important to me than my family,” he told the Locked on SEC podcast in June. 

Here’s one sign of how notable this game is: ESPN assigned its top announcing team to a rare early kickoff instead of the Texas A&M/LSU matchup in prime time.
