Texans WR Tank Dell to return from gruesome 2024 knee injury on Sunday vs. Giants

Tank Dell is back.

The Houston Texans wide receiver will take the field on Sunday in their matchup with the New York Giants, head coach DeMeco Ryans confirmed on Monday. It will mark Dell’s first game since Dec. 2024.

Dell has been sidelined recovering from a gruesome knee injury he suffered near the end of the 2024 campaign. Dell dislocated his knee and tore multiple ligaments in a contest with the Kansas City Chiefs, and missed all of the 2025 season as a result.

While Dell wasn’t ready to go for the start of the season this fall, the Texans opened his practice window earlier this month.

The Texans hold a 2-4 record entering Sunday’s contest at NRG Stadium, though they’ve won back-to-back games after losing four straight to open the year.
