Tennessee Titans' Calvin Ridley expected to play against Bengals

When the Tennessee Titans take the field against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, they will be without their leading receiver, Carnell Tate, who is out with a shoulder injury, and they couldn’t afford to lose another receiving threat.

On Sunday, Ian Rapoport took to X (formerly Twitter) to report that Calvin Ridley, who missed Week 7 with a hip injury and is questionable this week, is expected to play against the Bengals.

After reviewing Saturday’s weekly elevations, they pointed in this direction. Tennessee elevated wide receiver Xavier Restrepo for this matchup, much like they did when they elevated K.J. Osborne against Cleveland when Ridley was sidelined. Tennessee would have likely elevated both Restrepo and Osborne if they were down two receivers.

After an emotional week following the trade of Jeffery Simmons, the Titans will need all hands on deck to have any chance of pulling an upset on Sunday, and having Ridley available is a step in the right direction.
