Taraba local council suspends proposed N2,000 salary deduction for Code of Conduct form

The Jalingo Local Government Council in Taraba State has suspended the proposed N2,000 deduction from staff salaries for the Code of Conduct Form.

The chairman of the council, Nura Dantsoho, announced the decision in an official notice to staff on Thursday, saying it followed concerns raised over the proposed deduction.

Dantsoho directed that no staff member should have N2,000 deducted from their salary for the form.

“All staff of the local government would be provided with the Code of Conduct Form free of charge,” the council chairman announced.

According to him, the decision was taken in the interest of staff welfare and to ensure that employees could obtain the required form without any financial burden.

The chairman said the measure was also aimed at addressing concerns surrounding the proposed deduction and promoting the welfare of workers within the local government.

He appreciated the staff for their understanding and cooperation, while urging them to remain committed to the progress and development of Jalingo Local Government.
