Still, it seems Spurs are working to keep Vuskovic and he also wants to stay with the north Londoners for the time being, according to Christian Falk in the latest edition of his CF Bayern Insider column.
Vuskovic looks like an elite young talent and it’s no surprise Tottenham could be facing a fight to keep him, though for now it doesn’t look like an urgent situation.
Luka Vuskovic could sign new Tottenham contract
Falk says Spurs want to keep Vuskovic and he’s happy to stay, with a new and improved contract even a possibility following recent talks.
“Tottenham have held some talks about Luka Vuskovic in the last few days, and it seems that he wants to stay at Tottenham (and they want him back),” Falk explained.
“However, it’s not just a matter of playing time. The Croatian’s management will talk with the club about a new contract. He made a big, big step in his playing career with this loan spell at Hamburg. Many top clubs now have him firmly on their radar.

Should Luka Vuskovic leave Tottenham for Liverpool or Chelsea?
This saga certainly seems like one to follow in the weeks and months ahead, with Tottenham enduring an awful season in the Premier League.
It may even be that THFC still end up getting relegated, though they’re the slight favourites over West Ham at the moment to scrape survival.
Still, that’s not necessarily the kind of situation Vuskovic will be keen to go back to, so the 19-year-old might do well to consider somewhere like Liverpool.
The Reds need a long-term replacement for the ageing Virgil van Dijk, while Ibrahima Konate is nearing the end of his contract, so there would surely be an immediate starting role for him at Anfield.
Chelsea might also be worth considering as they’ve shown their commitment to trusting young players, though it’s also a slightly less convincing project at Stamford Bridge right now.
LFC would be able to offer Vuskovic Champions League football for next season, something Spurs won’t have, while CFC might also miss out on Europe altogether.
