Police spokesperson, SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, confirmed the incident in a statement issued to newsmen on Sunday morning.

According to the command, “On 31/07/2026 at about 9:00 a.m., a distress call was received that a body was seen lying motionless along Ringim-Sintilmawa Road.”

He explained that, on receipt of the report, a patrol team from Ringim rushed to the scene and observed burns on both hands, the chest, and the pelvic area of the body.

SP Shiisu said hand gloves, a hacksaw, and some sacks were discovered at the scene, showing that the suspect was electrocuted while trying to vandalise an electric cable.
