Strasbourg loan out Serbian forward Miloš Luković

RC Strasbourg have loaned out Serbian forward Miloš Luković to German second-tier club 1. FC Kaiserslautern for the entire 2026-27 season, according to Alsa’Sports, as the Ligue 1 club continues trimming an oversized squad. It is the fourth Strasbourg departure inside three days.

Journalist Jonathan Helbling reports that manager Hugo Oliveira wanted to “tighten an effective that had become bloated” and create room to pursue an international-level forward Strasbourg are chasing before the window shuts.

No option to buy or loan fee was disclosed in the move, which follows exits for Pape Diong, Idrissa Sabaly and Mathis Amougou as the club reshapes its attacking options around a busier squad turnover than usual this summer, with Strasbourg still working on at least one further incoming forward before deadline day.

Luković, 20, joined Strasbourg in 2024 from IMT Belgrade but never established himself in Alsace, making just two competitive appearances across a season and a half. Kaiserslautern, a name still recognised across Europe from their Bundesliga title-winning history, now give him a season to try to rebuild momentum in Germany’s second division after barely featuring in France.

For Strasbourg, freeing a squad spot and a wage without needing to find a permanent buyer is efficient business given how little Luković had played.

For Kaiserslautern, taking a 20-year-old who arrived in Ligue 1 with a marquee move from Serbia’s top flight, even one that didn’t work out, is a low-cost bet on a player still young enough to develop.

Status: The loan is complete and official. Luković has already left Strasbourg for Kaiserslautern, with no buy option attached to the season-long deal and no fee disclosed by either club.
