On the same day he signed his massive four-year, $42 million extension, Washington, along with his wife, Estefany, announced that the family was expecting their fourth child — a beautiful baby boy.

Washington, selected by the Steelers with the 93rd overall pick in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, quickly emerged as one of the league’s premier blocking tight ends thanks to his 6-foot-7, 300-plus-pound frame.

Taking a huge step forward as a pass catcher in 2025, Washington is heading into a big Year 4 and should easily shatter all of his career season highs set thus far.

While Washington and Nick Herbig have plenty to celebrate following their exciting extensions, two more Steelers defenders from the 2023 class are due for new contracts following the 2026 season.
