Steelers’ Jaylen Warren Reacts to His Unforgettable Birthday Against The Browns

Jaylen Warren and the Pittsburgh Steelers got their revenge on the Cleveland Browns, and they did it on the same day as the running back’s birthday.

Warren turned 28 years old on Sunday, and he celebrated it with a performance to remember for a long time.

The former Oklahoma State Cowboys star running back tied a career high with 143 rushing yards and a touchdown on just 17 carries. That checks out for an incredibly efficient average of 8.4 yards per carry in a 27-6 win over Cleveland at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.

Birthday Celebrant Warren Speaks Up on His Big Performance in Steelers’ Win Over The Browns

In a postgame interview with CBS Sports, Warren talked about the game that he just had.

“Man, just run through anybody in my way. We knew it was going to be a gritty game coming in, and so that’s what we expected. And we just came in and executed,” Warren said.

Warren also praised the chemistry of the team, particularly between the running backs and the offensive line.

“We’re all on the same page. And there’s no little tweak that nobody else doesn’t understand. We’re all on the same page, seeing eye to eye to everything. And that’s why we put up the numbers we put up today,” added Warren, who is in his fifth season in the NFL.

Moreover, Warren credited the work done by Pittsburgh’s stop unit against Cleveland.

“Best defense in the nation. I wouldn’t want to have any other defense. We hype each other up. It’s reciprocated, and that’s what matters, and that’s what makes us great,” continued Warren.

Pittsburgh had the Browns’ attack in a chokehold, as the Steelers avenged their loss to Cleveland earlier in the season.

Deshaun Watson passed for 324 yards, but he never found the end zone. He was also sacked eight times for a loss of 41 yards.

Warren can further celebrate his birthday in the coming days, as Pittsburgh now get to enjoy a much-deserved bye before hitting the field again in Week 10 versus the Cincinnati Bengals on the road.
