• CRYSTAL SPRINGS DIVISION I DISTRICT: Minerva is heading back to the state tournament. The Lions shot 345 and beat Marietta by eight strokes to win the Division I district title at Crystal Springs Golf Course. Peyton Beaumariage finished second overall with a 76 to lead Minerva. The Lions will play in the state tournament at Dayton’s NCR Country Club on Oct. 12 and 13.

• THE ELMS DIVISION i SECTIONAL: Ellie Hutzler fired a 70 to earn medalist honors and helped lead Hoover to the team title in the Division I sectional tournament at The Elms Country Club. The Vikings shot 330 and finished 12 strokes ahead of runner-up Lake. GlenOak came in fourth and will join Hoover and Lake at next week’s district tournament. Jackson’s Kennedy Farrell and Perry’s Addilyn Morrison earned individual district berths. Farrell finished third with an 80. Morrison tied for ninth at 85.

• THE PINES DIVISION II SECTIONAL: West Branch shot 379 and came in second in the Division II sectional tournament at The Pines Golf Club. Emma McLaughlin fired an 87 and finished tied for fifth overall for the Warriors, who move on to next week’s district tournament. Tuslaw’s Avery Rodocker earned one of the four individual district berths. She shot 90 to tie for 10th.
