Spurs Women to face Real Madrid, Granada in August Friendlies

Tottenham Hotspur Women have returned to Hotspur Way (with a few new faces), and they’re hard at work preparing for the new season. Part of those preparations include a “Performance Camp” in Southern Spain running from August 9th to August 19th, and the club has announced that during the camp, we’ll take on Grenada and Real Madrid in a pair of friendlies.

If you’re very lucky to already be in Southern Spain, you can attend these games for free. For the rest of us, they’ll be streamed on SPURSPLAY. Catch the details here:

The club did something quite similar last year, and I was personally a huge fan. The trip seemed to instill a real sense of belonging and work ethic in the squad after a tough 2024/25 season. You might also recall that they played out  a rather lifeless friendly against Sevilla in near-100 degree weather. I will always remember this match because it was when I learned that Tōko Koga might be the greatest centerback who has ever lived.

As such, I’m looking forward to getting that same early look at some of this summer’s new signings. Once the team returns from Spain, we expect them to play a few more friendlies closer to home, so there should be plenty of opportunity.
