Spurs confident of completing Savinho transfer
According to Fabrizio Romano, the talks between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City over the proposed transfer of Savinho have been going on for several weeks now, and the North London club remain confident of getting the business done this summer. The Brazilian winger is a top priority target for them, and it all now depends on City’s plans to acquire a replacement.
Apart from Savinho, Spurs have also been linked with Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo as they seek to strengthen their wide attacking ranks, but there doesn’t seem to have been any development when it comes to the Netherlands international so far.
Savinho left his boyhood club Atletico Mineiro in 2022 to join Troyes, and he had load spells with PSV Eindhoven and Girona before joining City for €25million in 2024. The 22-year-old wasn’t able to establish himself as a regular starter under Pep Guardiola, and last season, he started just seven Premier League matches. In all competitions throughout 2025-26, he made a total of 36 appearances – mostly off the bench, scoring four goals and producing three assists.
Consequently, Savinho was not chosen by Carlo Ancelotti to represent Brazil at the 2026 World Cup.
