Sources: Arsenal set Gabriel Jesus price as interest increases in Brazilian attacker

Gabriel Jesus could be approaching the end of his Arsenal spell, with Napoli stepping up their interest in the Brazilian forward as Mikel Arteta continues reshaping his squad.

The 29-year-old still has plenty to offer, but his position at the Emirates has changed considerably.

After returning from a serious knee injury last season, Jesus made 27 appearances but started only nine.

With Arsenal now possessing greater attacking depth, regular football could become even harder to find, making a summer move increasingly realistic.

Arsenal demand revealed regarding Jesus

Sources close to the agents industry have informed CaughtOffside that Napoli are actively exploring a deal for Jesus and Arsenal will only consider negotiations if offers begin at €20 million.

Talks between the clubs have not yet advanced, although Napoli’s interest is described as very strong.

Jesus is also said to view the Italian club as a genuine option because he wants more playing time after slipping into a rotation role in north London.

Napoli’s interest is not new. They previously explored a move for Jesus in 2023, when the forward preferred to remain with Arsenal.

His circumstances are different now, however, and the possibility of leaving appears much more realistic.

The situation remains active at the moment. The Times reports that Napoli are expected to pursue Jesus, who has entered the final year of his Arsenal contract.

Napoli move could suit the Brazilian attacker

This feels like one of those transfers that could genuinely benefit everyone involved.

Jesus has been an important figure during Arsenal’s rise under Arteta, bringing experience, pressing intensity and versatility after arriving from Manchester City.

But keeping a high-profile forward in a reduced role for the final year of his contract makes little financial sense if a reasonable offer arrives.

For Napoli, €20m would represent a relatively manageable gamble on a player with extensive Premier League and Champions League experience.

The biggest question is whether Napoli will actually meet Arsenal’s valuation. Given Jesus’ contract situation, they may attempt to negotiate the price down.

Still, if an offer gets close to Arsenal’s threshold, a deal should be seriously considered.
