Slice? Jacob Bridgeman hits tee shot into a pizza stand at Tour Championship
Golf Channel’s social team nailed it. “Talk about hitting a slice,” said their post about Jacob Bridgeman’s stray shot that found a pizza stand at East Lake Golf Club during Friday’s second round of the 2026 Tour Championship.
Bridgeman had five birdies on his card before a bogey on the 17th. Then, on the par-5 closing hole, he hit a wayward shot that ended up on the floor in a pizza vendor’s stand. We should also note the nice work by the Golf Channel camera operator on the slow reveal of just where the ball ended up.

After taking a bit figuring out where to drop, Bridgeman ended hitting his third in a greenside bunker and then missing his par putt. Back-to-back bogeys to end your day is a buzz kill. Bridgeman is 5 under at T-16 heading to the weekend.
“It seemed like some sort of storm was blowing in there at the end and I had to deal with a little bit of wind,” Bridgeman told on-course reporter/comedian Katt Williams on PGA Tour Live after his round. “For 16 holes I played really good and felt like I left a few out there. I was 5 under through 16 and it could’ve been 7 or 8.”
