A’ja Wilson not only saw the Las Vegas Aces lose Game 2 of their playoff series against the Indiana Fever, she was also involved in an unfortunate fan confrontation in the fourth quarter. After an Indiana fan initially seemed to point fingers at Wilson, she immediately lost her calm and hit back, prompting security to escort the individual out as the Aces superstar was herself handed a technical. Now, Chicago Sky star Natasha Cloud has had her say on the matter, and there are no prizes for guessing whose side she is taking.

On Threads, Cloud encouraged the Fever as an organization to denounce the fan, questioning why he had the audacity to step towards the court, per a post on X by ClutchPoints.

“& imma be the one to say it’s time for Indy as an organization to start denouncing some shit,” she wrote. “Mind you he is the 2nd man to take a step towards the court. Wife had to yank him down out of embarrassment.”

With 4:12 remaining in the game, Wilson made contact with Fever’s Sophie Cunningham, who was defending Chelsea Gray. The Fever guard ended up falling backward as Wilson was initially assessed a foul.

However, the fan appeared to claim that the contact was “on her” while pointing at Wilson, who initially charged at him. The Fever did not take any action against the fan as the organization deemed that he had not broken any code of conduct, which appears to be what Cloud was speaking against. The Sky star went on to question the fan’s behavior.

“Even worse…. if he’s willing to do that shit in public to a woman he doesn’t know….how do you think he acts in his home? No it’s not our job to continue to fix the problems. Our job is to hoop. & to be safe doing it,” she wrote.

Wilson herself claimed later that it was the fan pointing at her which ended up triggering her, claiming that the fan should never have stepped at pointed at her. The series itself will now move to Las Vegas for Game 3.
