Simone Biles' health scare: 'Almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card'

Houston-area Olympic champion Simone Biles is recovering after a health scare, according to an Instagram story she posted Saturday.

Biles, the most decorated gymnast in the sport’s history, posted the following cryptic message, showing a photo of a hospital ID wristband, flowers, and a heart rate monitor.  

“I’m not one to normally share things like this because I value privacy in today’s age.

but almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card earlier this week ❤️‍🩹

this was one of, if not the scariest experience of my life. especially since Jonathan was in Indy for practices.

i’ve been in bed resting this week, I’ll explain sooner or later but s/o to my close circle who reached out, checked in, visited & or sent flowers 🤍🤍🤍
loooooveeee y’all”

She mentioned in her post that her husband, Indianapolis Colts safety Jonathan Owens, wasn’t home at the time as he was getting ready for the upcoming season. The couple lives in the Houston area.
