Sevilla star closing on Serie A move

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga outfit Sevilla is inching ever closer to a transfer to Italy.

This comes amid the understanding that the Nervionenses and Venezia are closing on an agreement for Akor Adams to link up with the latter on a permanent basis.

Frontman Adams is widely expected to bring a close to his time on the books of Sevilla before the summer is out. Amid the efforts of the brass at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán to raise funds for new signings, the Nigerian has been pushed towards the exit door.

Fresh off a 10-goal campaign in La Liga, a number of clubs are in turn understood to have made known their interest in Adams’ signing.

And as alluded to above, late this week, one such suitor have positioned themselves firmly at the front of the queue.

As per a report from Spanish journalist Gonzalo Tortosa, amongst others:

‘Sevilla FC advances in the sale of Akor Adams to Venezia. The Italian club has presented in person the first official offer in a 2-hour meeting. For now, there is no total agreement and points are still being negotiated, but the parties are closer. The Italian club is trying to advance or practically close the deal for the forward before the end of this week.’
