Serena Williams is a Barbie Role Model
American tennis legend Serena Williams is being immortalized in a new way.
She is now a Barbie Role Model. Serena joins a long list of highly accomplished females from different fields around the world who earned a custom-designed Barbie Role Model doll.
Serena’s Barbie outfit is the iconic 2005 Australian Open Nike yellow and white kit. She defeated Lindsay Davenport in three sets in the Australian Open final that year.

Serena is the first tennis player to receive a Barbie Role Model doll.
As a mother of two young daughters, it has to be among the most important achievements of her career.
Venus Williams previously had a Barbie Inspiring Women Series doll created for her.
Serena’s good friend Caroline Wozniacki said during the ESPN broadcast of this year’s US Open that Serena had plans to play in 2027.
What her schedule looks like remains to be seen.
She is a seven-time Australian Open champion. Her last win was in 2017 over Venus when she was pregnant with her daughter Olympia.
It would be a sentimental and meaningful return to Melbourne if she is healthy and willing to play. With her young family, that would be a big trip during the school year, but anything is possible.
