Sean McVay won't say much about the "soreness" in Matthew Stafford's throwing arm

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford threw only 25 passes on Sunday. But he emerged from the win over the Chargers with some sort of arm issue.

Stafford was spotted after the game with ice on his throwing arm. Coach Sean McVay didn’t say much when asked about it on Monday.

“You’ll have to talk to him about that,” McVay told reporters. “He’s had some soreness there. I think he’d be better equipped once you guys talk to him to answer that. I can’t attest to stuff that I’m not necessarily aware of.”

If it’s an issue, McVay will be aware of it soon. Come Wednesday, the Rams will be filing their first practice report in advance of Sunday’s game at Washington. If Stafford is getting any treatment on the arm, or if he doesn’t fully participate in practice, he’ll be listed.

Stafford has, of course, a long history of playing through anything and everything. Some ice on his arm won’t keep him from playing.
