Seahawks given high grade by CBS Sports for Week 2 win

The Seattle Seahawks secured a big win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1, and their play in the victory was commendable to say the least.

CBS Sports’ John Breech gave the Seahawks an “A+” for their performance in the win over the Cardinals.

“JSN caught nine passes for 155 yards and three touchdowns, including an 82-yarder in the first quarter that got the scoring fireworks started for Seattle,” Breech said. “After JSN put Seattle in the lead, the Seahawks‘ defense did the rest… When it comes to impressive regular-season wins in the NFL, beating a division rival by 24 points with a backup QB under center definitely ranks near the top.”

The Seahawks won the total yards battle against the Cardinals 381-151. Seattle allowed only one sack to quarterback Drew Lock in the game, coughed up only one turnover and committed only three penalties on the game, and controlled time of possession by a margin of 13:04.

Seattle also got great play from Drew Lock, who threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns in the win, and overall, looked like a Super Bowl team in the victory.
