Following her non-guilty plea, the presiding magistrate, Mr. Olasinmibo Sanusi, evaluated the application for bail filed by the defense counsel.

Magistrate Sanusi admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of ₦50,000, with one surety in like sum.

The court added a strict verification clause, directing that the executing surety must be a verified blood relation of the defendant.
