Roma vs. Cagliari: Lineups & Game Thread

The matches around Europe are coming at an alarming rate as we approach Halloween. In the past 13 days alone, Roma has contested two Champions League matches, including the now infamous 4-3 loss to José Mourinho and Real Madrid, and two domestic fixtures, including Saturday’s wild 3-3 draw in the Derby del Sole against Napoli.

But there is good news amidst the chaos. Not only has Roma stayed close to home, hosting three of their last four matches, but they’ve also fared pretty well over this span. Following their collapse against Madrid, Roma responded with convincing wins over Genoa and Slovan Bratislava and fought back valiantly to snatch a point at the Stadio Maradona last weekend.

Today’s fixture brings upstart Cagliari to the Olimpico. While their hot start has run aground over the past two rounds, the Islanders still have what it takes to make life uncomfortable for the Giallorossi this evening, who can ill-afford another slow start.
