Robins confirms Stoke City star is set for injury absence

Stoke City striker Sam Gallagher is set to be sidelined for a short while after suffering an injury during the international break.

The 30-year-old missed Stoke’s win at Bolton Wanderers and is set for a spell on the sidelines.

He had already missed two weeks earlier on in the campaign but Stoke boss Mark Robins says the latest problem is not a serious one.

“Sam got injured during the break,” Robins said.

“I almost said pre-season because it felt like pre-season.

“No, it’s not a big, big injury but he’ll miss a little while but hopefully we get him back quickly like last time.”
