Recapping the Broncos' signings (and departures) on a busy Monday

Well, that was a busy day.

Following 38 roster moves over the weekend, the Denver Broncos set their 17-player practice squad on Monday. Not everyone Denver would have liked to sign was available.

Two of the players the Broncos cut on Sunday — tight end Justin Joly (a fifth-round draft pick) and cornerback Reese Taylor — were claimed off waivers by the Miami Dolphins on Monday. Denver also lost defensive lineman Jordan Miller, who opted to join Miami’s practice squad.

Also on Monday, Broncos outside linebacker Drew Sanders cleared waivers after being waived with an injury designation on Sunday and reverted to Denver’s injured reserve list. View a recap of all of Monday’s happenings (as of the time of publication) below.

After wrapping up Monday’s practice, Denver has two more practices on deck this week. The action will pick up next week as the club prepares for a Monday Night Football showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs. Fans can expect injury reports and an updated depth chart to be announced by the Broncos beginning next week.
