Scottie Barnes was a major bright spot with his scoring outburst despite the Toronto Raptors’ NBA Cup loss to the Orlando Magic on Friday night.

Barnes started the sixth season of his rising NBA career with the Raptors. He made his way up the ranks to become one of the best players in the league, bringing Toronto back to the playoffs last season.

This season presents intrigue for Barnes, teaming up with Kawhi Leonard. Even though the latter’s injury history will have him on the sidelines for periods of time, their ceiling as a star duo places Toronto in serious playoff contention when they’re on the court together.
