Raphinha to sign new Barcelona contract until 2030 on Thursday
Barcelona captain Raphinha is expected to formalise his contract renewal on Thursday, November 5, signing a new agreement that will keep him at the club until 2030.
According to SPORT, the agreement has already been finalised, with only the official signature and announcement remaining after several weeks of delays caused by scheduling difficulties.
The renewal is going to be an important piece of Barcelona’s long-term planning, with sporting director Deco and the Brazilian having already reached an understanding over his future some time ago.
Raphinha and Deco have already finalised renewal agreement
The agreement between Barcelona and Raphinha has been in place for several weeks.
In fact, there was a meeting between Deco and the Brazilian in which both parties settled the remaining details of his contract extension and the discussions progressed without significant disagreements.

Deco subsequently confirmed the same during the Assembly of Delegates, although the official ceremony remained pending because of difficulties coordinating the schedules of the relevant parties.
Importantly, the delay has not been caused by disagreements over financial terms or contractual conditions.
Rather, the delay has been due exclusively to calendar issues and never to differences between the club and the player.
Barcelona prepare Thursday ceremony for Brazilian captain
As per the outlet, Barcelona are now planning to hold the renewal ceremony on Thursday, November 5, although a last-minute scheduling change cannot be completely ruled out.

Hansi Flick is expected to give his players Thursday off, depending on his final decision, which would provide an opportunity to organise Raphinha’s contract ceremony.
Barcelona will then turn their attention towards Sunday’s LaLiga meeting with Atletico Madrid.
A final training session is scheduled for Saturday before the squad travels to the Spanish capital.
The timing would allow the club to complete an important administrative commitment without disrupting preparations for a demanding fixture.
