Raiders RB questionable vs. Patriots with ankle and foot injuries

· · 1 min read

Right now, it does not look like Las Vegas Raiders star running back Ashton Jeanty will play this week against the New England Patriots due to ankle and foot injuries, although he is officially listed as questionable.

Jeanty fully participated in practice Wednesday before being limited Thursday and not practicing at all Friday. Between his rookie year last season and the first four games this season, Jeanty has never missed an NFL game. He also got off to a good start with 264 rushing yards, 165 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns. Jeanty has not scored on the ground yet this season.

If Jeanty is unable to go, rookie Mike Washington Jr., whom they drafted in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, would get the start. Washington has been minimally involved with the offense so far this season, with 120 rushing yards. He scored his first NFL touchdown in Week 3’s win against the New Orleans Saints.

Going against the Patriots is not a terrible matchup for either running back, especially since New England will be missing numerous players on both sides of the ball, including four cornerbacks and linebacker Christian Elliss, one of their leading tacklers.
