Puka Nacua Injury Update: Rams WR’s Week 4 Status Revealed

· · 2 min read

Puka Nacua missed Weeks 2 and 3 due to injury, but he should return for Week 4. Originally selected in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, the BYU product quickly became one of the biggest draft steals in recent memory. Developing an immediate connection with quarterback Matthew Stafford, the rookie finished his inaugural campaign with 105 receptions for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns on 160 targets. While injuries limited him to just 11 games in 2024, he bounced back in 2025 by recording a league-best 129 receptions for 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns. He made the second Pro Bowl of his career and earned First-Team All-Pro honors for his work.

There is no denying that Puka Nacua is one of the game’s best receivers, and it sounds like the Rams will have him on the field when they face the 2-1 Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4. In a recent interview, head coach Sean McVay says that he expects his star wideout to suit up and play on Sunday.

Needless to say, the Los Angeles Rams are at their best when Puka Nacua is on the field. While the offense wasn’t the primary issue in the team’s 30-26 Week 3 loss to the Denver Broncos, Nacua’s availability probably was the difference in this contest. At 1-2, Los Angeles currently finds themselves tied for last in what is arguably the most competitive division in football. This team should still make the playoffs, but this early hole could keep them from winning the division.

With Puka Nacua sidelined the past two weeks, most of the offense went through Davante Adams. The veteran finished Week 2 with eight catches for 195 yards and two touchdowns and followed it up with seven receptions for 137 yards in Week 3. Assuming Nacua plays, Adams will likely take more of a backseat but should still be a key part of the passing attack.
