Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football broadcast includes a personalized bet tracking experience with FanDuel
Prime Video is adding FanDuel bet tracking to Thursday Night Football.
The feature, which the streamer first introduced for its NBA coverage last year, lets viewers link their Prime Video profile to their FanDuel account and see active bets displayed on screen during live games, updated in real time with progress and win/loss status. It’s opt-in, and Prime Video doesn’t allow viewers to place bets directly through the broadcast. A rotating feed of live odds, lines and probabilities — moneylines, spreads, totals, parlays — runs alongside it for viewers who aren’t tracking a personal bet.
The bet tracking rollout is part of a broader tech push for TNF‘s fifth season of exclusivity, which kicks off Thursday with the Detroit Lions at the Buffalo Bills, the first regular-season game at the Bills’ new Highmark Stadium. Prime Video is coming off the most-watched season in Thursday Night Football‘s 20-year history.
The broadcast is also adding new entries to its Prime Insights suite, developed through Prime Video’s Next Gen Stats partnership and running on AWS’s AI infrastructure. Defensive Alerts tracks pre-snap defender movement to flag likely blitzers, which Prime Video is calling the first predictive-behavior AI model deployed on a live NFL broadcast. Pocket Health analyzes the offensive line in real time to generate visuals on pressure building around the quarterback. Coverage ID identifies the defensive scheme before the snap, and Pressure Alert highlights defenders breaking through as a play develops. A new End of Game Suite maps out late-game scenarios — remaining possessions for a trailing team, field position if a defense forces a three-and-out, what a team needs to kneel out a win, etc.
Those tools debut on Prime Vision with Next Gen Stats, the alternate broadcast stream that functions as a testing ground before features graduate to the main telecast, with in-game analysis from Sam Schwartzstein.
Al Michaels returns to the TNF booth alongside Kirk Herbstreit, with Kaylee Hartung reporting from the sideline. Charissa Thompson hosts pregame, halftime, and postgame coverage with Tony Gonzalez, Richard Sherman, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Andrew Whitworth; Taylor Rooks handles features; James Palmer covers news from around the league; and Marshawn Lynch’s ‘N ‘Yo City segments are back for another season.
The schedule builds toward a Broncos-Steelers Black Friday Football showcase, a Texans-Eagles matchup in Philadelphia on Christmas Eve, and a Ravens-Bengals AFC North rivalry game in Cincinnati on New Year’s Eve, before the season culminates in an NFL Wild Card playoff game in January.
Thursday Night Football streams exclusively on Prime Video, with simulcasts on Twitch and over-the-air television in both competing teams’ home markets.
