President Federation Cup: Ogunbote happy with Plateau United’s win over Basira FC

Plateau United technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, has described his team’s President Federation Cup Round of 16 win over Basira FC as a sweet victory.

The Peace Boys beat Basira FC 2-1 at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja on Saturday.

Ogunbote admitted that the Nigeria National League, NNL, side gave a good account of themselves in the game.

“It’s indeed a sweet victory as playing against an NNL side is always tough and they gave a good account of themselves,” Ogunbote told the club’s media.

Ogunbote added that his team will continue to push for the trophy.

“Everybody’s target is to win the cup let us see where our strength will take us to we will give it a try.”

He also commended his players for their determination throughout the game.
