Premier League gives update on Man City’s 115 charges
Premier League CEO, Richard Masters, has given an update on the 115 charges against Manchester City.
According to BBC Sport, Masters admitted that the verdict is taking a long time.
He, however, insisted that due process was being taken in reviewing the case.
“I can’t pass any real comment or provide anything new today on it,” Masters said.
“I do accept it’s taking longer than expected, and I understand people want to find out as soon as possible what’s going on. But I simply can’t provide that.
“Our rules are very clear, we have to follow the process, and there’s only one real clear route through – which is to allow that process to reach its natural conclusion…
“It’s hugely complex. The hearing took 12 weeks, and so it has taken longer than expected.”
City are waiting for a verdict on 115 charges of alleged financial impropriety.
Some of the alleged rule breaches happened between 2009 and 2018.
