Pokémon TCG Confirms New Set Releasing November 27
The Pokémon Trading Card Game has released a number of expansions in its Mega Evolution series this year, including the massively popular 30th Celebration set. While early November will see the release of the Delta Reign expansion, another official Pokémon TCG release will be arriving on November 27. This upcoming set will also give us an early glimpse at what to expect when the TCG’s 2027 expansions start to arrive in the early part of next year.
For now, the Pokémon TCG is still in its Mega Evolution series, a phase which has seen ex cards return to the trading card game, and one which has been mostly focused on Pokémon from the Pokémon Legends: Z—A video game. That trend will continue for at least a part of 2027, as the only known set is for February’s Flowing Fists expansion, which will start prerelease at the end of January. The cards shown from that new set are, so far, focused on Pokémon from Legends: Z-A, although it’s unclear when exactly the TCG will move on from its Mega Evolution series next year.
Now, it looks like Pokémon TCG fans will have something else to look forward to, since a brand-new set will be releasing on November 27, 2026. The new set, which is translated into “Aura Seeker” by PokeBeach, will continue the Mega Evolution series and is focused on Mega Lucario Z, which debuted in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. There will be 78 cards in the main set, with 30-40 secret rares for a total of around 115 cards.
That’s become a fairly standard number for Pokémon TCG sets, with Japanese expansions often being made up of fewer cards than their English counterparts. Recent English sets, for example, have had around 135 cards (combined with secret rares), as the trend for 2026 has been smaller expansions with fewer cards overall. November’s Delta Reign set, for comparison, has 141.

Aura Seeker is a Japanese set, but collectors will want to keep an eye out for it nonetheless. That’s because many of the cards from this set will be a part of Flowing Fists, which reportedly has a release date of February 5, 2027, in English. A number of cards have been unveiled by the Pokémon TCG so far, including a few in English:
In addition to those three, more than a dozen cards from Aura Seeker have appeared online, giving us a glimpse of Mega Absol Z ex, Mega Garchomp Z ex, and a number of common and uncommon cards from the main set. In other words, if you’re interested in seeing what Flowing Fists has to offer in February, you’ll want to keep an eye out for Aura Seeker on November 27.
In the meantime, Delta Reign launches on November 6 in English, marking it as the final English expansion to release in 2026. Considering what we’ve seen of Aura Seeker, though, it looks like the Pokémon Trading Card Game will be off to a good start in 2027, and this Japanese set will offer up an early glimpse of what’s coming next year.
