PlayStation Officially Drops 4 New Free Downloads You Don't Need PS Plus For

· · 3 min read

The PlayStation Store has some heavy-hitters available as free downloads this November, one of which is a demo for one of the biggest RPGs of the season. The demo for Final Fantasy Resonance is available on the PlayStation Store for PS5 owners looking to try before they buy, along with three more notable experiences to try your hand at. And luckily, you don’t need PlayStation Plus to do so.

The holiday season is getting closer by the day, and gaming budgets are getting tighter along with it. PlayStation Store demos can be a good way to decide what to spend money on, or just to see what these games are all about.

This Month’s Free PS5 Downloads Are A Fantasy

Along with the PlayStation demo for the much-awaited Final Fantasy Resonance, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse demo is another one that is hard to ignore. These two might be the main attractions, but the other two free downloads are entertaining and worth a look in their own right.

One interesting option is physics-based combat simulator Gladio Mori. Intensely difficult, the full game features the ability to put together movesets and share them with the community. The demo includes four curated movesets with which they can test their mettle, and it should be an interesting one for players who like combat with depth.

The other is Rideshare “Stimulator”, which tasks players with managing their rideshare business and getting their hands dirty with a little driving themselves. Though neither of these have the starpower of the other two demos, Gladio Mori has been well-received on Steam and the Rideshare “Stimulator” has seen a fair amount of positive feedback on the platform as well.

The Final Fantasy Resonance demo is arguably the biggest draw this November. The game offers classic Final Fantasy combat and adventuring, with fan-favorite characters making appearances as Visions who help in combat. JRPG fans have been waiting for this release, but may want to try the demo first. The Final Fantasy Resonance demo encompasses the entire first chapter of the game, and all progress made in the demo can be carried over to the full version. The reviews for Final Fantasy Resonance so far have been stellar, making this a must-play for anyone with a soft spot for the franchise.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse has been well-received, and the demo gives a taste of what players can expect from the return of this classic franchise. Belmont’s Curse lets you take control of Rose Belmont, the daughter of Trevor Belmont from Castlevania 3: Dracula’s Curse, and is exactly the sort of game the classic series deserves to carry the torch that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night reignited in 2019. This demo also allows data transfer to the full game, should players decide to buy it.

All four games’ demos can be tried completely for free on the PlayStation Store. Demos do not require a PS Plus membership to download and play, which is perfect for the gamer on a budget. Luckily, there are these four meaty demos to try for free this November on PlayStation.
