Pick the LSJ boys high school athlete of week: Sept. 7-12

Here is a look at the latest individuals in the running to be voted the Lansing State Journal’s boy high school athlete of the week.

Richey was the runner-up at the Averill Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 12 with his time of 16:42.4. Richey owns the third-fastest time in the area at 16:01.9.

The senior quarterback continued his hot start to the season by completing 9-of-10 passes for 305 yards and four touchdowns in the Yellowjackets’ 63-7 win over Saginaw Nouvel. Rondy has completed 37-of-39 passes for 777 yards and 11 touchdowns through three weeks.

West contributed to the Cougars recording victories over Eaton Rapids and Charlotte. West won his match at No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-0 while contributing to the Cougars earning a 7-1 win over Charlotte. He won his match 6-1, 6-0 against Eaton Rapids in Lansing Catholic’s 8-0 win.
