The Chicago White Sox have one of the best offenses in baseball.

Payton Tolle, who took the mound as starting pitcher for the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday, clearly didn’t care. In fact, he made that simply look not true.

The mustachioed lefty threw a gem, and it was impressive both on the surface and below it.

The southpaw went 6.0 smooth innings.

Tolle allowed two hits and walked just one.

He struck out six batters.

That’s not all, though.

Even more encouraging? Tolle’s whiff total.

He induced 15 swings-and-misses, a great total for that amount of game time.
