Mahomes is getting ready to show the NFL he can dominate as QB once again after requiring a nine-month absence to heal from his torn ACL.

It seems Mahomes will get ready for games by any means necessary, as fans started theorising about the QB potentially drinking vodka or limoncello before their clash against the Colts.

Despite the video making fans spread the rumours that Mahomes was drinking vodka or limoncello when caught on camera taking a swig from a small bottle, the truth has been known for years.

The aforementioned post on X received over 1.5 million views in under four hours, with many other fans perpetuating this false notion as a result.

The Chiefs encourage their players to drink pickle juice before games to avoid cramping during games. While many debate whether this is effective, it’s clear that NFL teams would rather indulge this practice than ignore it and miss out on any potential benefits.

It’s erroneous and ridiculous to expect a multi-time MVP and champion like Mahomes to do shots of alcohol before an NFL game, so it’s best to put the vodka theories to an end.

Mahomes has been drinking pickle juice before games for years, with the QB himself revealing in 2020 that this practice predates his time with the Chiefs.

“I’ve drank it since high school, actually, so it’s like a little shot. Just got to knock it to the head and not try to taste it as much as possible.”

“Well, the pickle juice usually is before, like you try to keep you from cramping. I don’t know … might have to do with the sodium, I think. They try to keep you from cramping.”

Mahomes went 32/47 on passing attempts for 382 passing yards, three touchdowns, and a 114.0 passer rating against the Colts, as the Chiefs won 33-30 in OT.
