Paige Bueckers Has Fans Laughing With Hilarious ‘PB&J’ Nickname For Jessica Shepard Duo

Paige Bueckers amused a lot of the Dallas Wings fans after she gave a witty nickname for her tandem with Jessica Shepard, who’s been on a continuous rise this season. 

With all the teams in the WNBA taking a break over the next few weeks because of the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup in Berlin, Germany, it will allow plenty of players to just chill out and take a break. 

That’s when Shepard shared her August photo dump on Instagram on Monday, where Bueckers couldn’t resist poking fun at their tandem in the comments.

Bueckers has been making life easy for Shepard this season thanks to her exquisite court vision and playmaking abilities that make her a worthy court general for the Wings. 

So far this season, Shepard’s averaging 14.4 points per game while shooting 58.7% from the field. On the other hand, Bueckers continues to impress in her second season with the Wings, averaging 20.5 points, 5.9 assists, and 4 rebounds per game. 

Because of her much-improved stats this season, Bueckers earned a spot in the Team USA squad that’s headed to Berlin, Germany, to defend their crown and possibly achieve a record fifth straight title in the FIBA Women’s World Cup. 

Dallas Wings fans would have to wait three weeks before they see Paige Bueckers pair up with Jessica Shepard, but the good thing about it is they’ll still see their generational talent suit up for Team USA in the upcoming 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup.

Fresh off their 97-71 win over the Connecticut Sun on Sunday, Bueckers spoke about her upcoming senior team debut in the World Cup. 

“Just to be able to represent our country and play for something so much bigger than yourself, it’s truly an honor at the highest level,” Bueckers said.

She added that she never wants to “feel entitled,” and believes that she always has to fight for her spot with the national team. 

Fans already caught a glimpse of Bueckers wearing the Stars and Stripes during the qualifying tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico, back in March, where she averaged 10.6 points and 2.2 assists, shooting an impressive 50% from the field.
