Packers QB Jordan Love dealing with sore back but certain he'll play vs. Lions

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is dealing with a “sore back” coming out of Sunday’s win over the Dallas Cowboys, but he has no concerns about his playing status for this week against the Detroit Lions.

Love was listed on the week’s first injury report on Wednesday with a back injury, and he was estimated as a limited participant during the walk-through practice.

“Just dealing with a sore back from the game. Lingering effects of that. One of those things we’ll take it day by day, obviously it was nice to have a jog through day, more of a mental day, just recover,” Love said Wednesday.

When asked if he’s worried about not playing Sunday, Love shook his head and said: “No, no.”

Love didn’t know the specific play in which he suffered the injury against the Cowboys. But it’s possible the injury is the culmination of taking too many hits in the pocket over the first six games of the season.

“You want to limit me taking hits in the pocket,” Love said. “Something we talk about, harp on.”
