Oyo SUBEB denies link to alleged Common Entrance exam leakage

“Therefore, any attempt to link the Board, its Executive Chairman or its officials to the alleged leakage is completely unfounded.”

The board also appealed to media organisations to exercise caution when reporting allegations concerning public institutions, stressing the importance of verifying information before publication or broadcast.

It urged the management and presenters of the radio station involved in the report, as well as other media platforms, to adhere to the principles of accuracy, fairness and responsible journalism.

While acknowledging the role of the media in scrutinising public institutions, OYOSUBEB said such oversight should be based on verified facts rather than unsubstantiated allegations.

The board further warned that it would take legal action against any broadcaster or media organisation that continued to publish or air defamatory claims against Adeniran or sought to damage his reputation through what it described as false allegations and a smear campaign.

It said it was prepared to pursue all available legal remedies to protect the integrity of its leadership and the institution.

Despite the controversy, the board said it remained focused on its statutory responsibility of improving basic education across Oyo State.

It reaffirmed its commitment to working with relevant stakeholders to promote quality, transparency and accountability in the state’s basic education sector.

OYOSUBEB consequently urged members of the public to disregard the allegation and obtain information concerning the Common Entrance Examination only from the appropriate government authorities.
