Our phones bugged, they’re following us — El-Rufai’s wife raises alarm

Hajiya Asia El-Rufai, the second wife of the former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has raised the alarm that she and her co-wife, Aishatou El-Rufai, are being tracked and monitored.

Asia El-Rufai raised the public alarm via an update shared on her Facebook account.

According to her, their personal communication lines have been compromised, expressing fears regarding their safety.

She said that the authorities should be held accountable if any harm comes to them.

“They are following me and Aisattou, let the world know that if anything happens to us the Government should explain. Our phones are bugged… our lives are in danger,” she wrote on Facebook.

This came on the heels of the growing concerns over El-Rufai’s continued detention.
